Update on the A647 Bus Corridor Scheme

The A647 has undergone a lot of work recently and on Armley Road/ Pickering Street/ Canal Road:

• Carriageway widening works are progressing on Armley Road and are 70% completed.

• Surfacing has commenced on the footway and cycle lanes.

• Trees have been installed on Low Moor open space and topsoil to complete the embankment

• Works have progressed to the Armley Road bus stop extension Here's Transport Planner Morgan with an update:

Upcoming works to completion at the end of July 2022 • Completion of the carriageway widening on Armley Road.

• Kerb installation and footway/cycleway surfacing on outbound side of Armley Road.

• Construction of the Armley Road/Pickering Street footway and cycleway.

• Installation of the remaining central islands.

• Commissioning of remaining traffic signals at the new pedestrian crossing near Pickering Street.

• Completion of the Canal Road bus lay-by construction.

• Full carriageway surfacing and lining along Armley Road.

• Loop cutting at Moorfield Road and Pasture Mount.

• Completion of the remaining carriageway surfacing along Stanningley Road.

• Cabling and commissioning of traffic signals at Moorfield Road and Pasture Mount pedestrian crossings.

• Installation of the remaining signs on Stanningley Road.

• Line removal and new lining for the inbound bus lane along Stanningley Road.

• Installation of the remaining signs on Bradford Road.

• Line removal and new lining for the bus lane on Bradford Road.
